SANDRA WEST WILLIAMS attended Kent State and Columbia Universities. She gained experience and training as a potter through apprenticeship with Vermont artists, and began to exhibit her work as a member of the American Craft Council.
Specializing in hand-thrown earthenware forms and hand-painting techniques, Ms. West Williams has enjoyed representation by galleries and museum shops throughout the United States.
She established Mud Lust Pottery in 1991 in Burlington, VT, while working at the Vermont State Craft Center, and in 1998 opened a gallery and studio in Hammondsport New York.
Sandra has also completed Montessori training with the North American Montessori Training Center and organizes children’s art workshops in her studio and local community.
